In case you missed it - this morning kicked off Spring Spotlight for HubSpot (if you’re unfamiliar, this one of two days per year when HubSpot announces major product updates and new features).
The theme this year is “value” and HubSpot delivered just that with 5 major product upgrades to many of their AI tools, including AEO, Smart Deal Progression, Customer Agent, Breeze Assistant, and Prospecting Agent. You can read all about the value those updates bring here.
However, it’s not always the big, flashy new products that bring the most value to everyday life in HubSpot. Sometimes, it’s the little updates, the much-requested improvements, that up the value of HubSpot even more.
Alongside the major updates, HubSpot has been quietly dropping a tone of product updates and new Betas in the last couple of weeks. Here’s a rundown of some of our favourites:
With this Beta you can monitor and analyze Reddit threads about your brand or competitors. Not only that, a second Beta allows you to post Reddit content as well as reply and engage with content directly from HubSpot.
With the popularity of AI-search growing, and people always looking for genuine user reviews, Reddit continues to act as a trusted source for information. Use this feature to make sure that your brand is visible and performing well on the platform.
This one is an update that many HubSpot users (us included) have been asking for for a very long time now. It is now possible to create custom properties for Tasks and to create Subtasks!
If you’re a user of the Projects object in particular, this is a monumental update that allows your team to customize the information they collect about tasks with custom properties, and set up deliverables with subtasks.
In our opinion, campaigns could be a lot more powerful with some additional features and this new update is a great start. For those of you who use custom objects (maybe to track events, maybe a record type that isn’t standard) you can now associate those objects directly to campaigns.
In case you missed it, this update goes perfectly along with the other recent updates allowing you to associate individual contacts directly with campaigns.
This update introduces a new Map view that allows you to visualize where your prospects and customers are located.
If you’re a user of the Power Dialer for HubSpot, you’ll be a big fan of the new voicemail update. This new Beta allows reps making phone calls to automatically leave pre-recorded voicemails when using the power dialer. You can upload multiple audio files to use for different campaigns.
For all you HubSpot Admins out there, this is a small but very useful update to conditional property logic. When creating conditional properties, you can now use the operators “is known” “any of” “not equal to” and “none of” to set up your conditions. Perfect for any company looking to trigger conditional logic on multi-select or dropdown properties as you no longer have to set up the same logic multiple times for different options.
This may not have been a part of the Spring Spotlight round of updates, but it’s such a powerful/useful one we think it’s worth calling out here anyway. That is: Find and Replace Users in Workflows.
Extra pro tip: need to figure out when or why a user is receiving a notice, being assigned a task, etc. And not sure which workflow is triggering it? Forgo the “replace” portion of this feature and use it to search where the user is referenced.
Here’s to hoping we’ll soon get the same option for properties!
Some of these features are updates across all HubSpot portals, but others are Betas that you will need to join manually to use for now (they’ll usually be released globally later after some feedback from Beta users).
To join Betas and review all recent product updates, click on your profile image in the top right > scroll down to find Product Updates > Use the various filters and presets to find those you might be interested and join away!
